Sabrina Johnston

Sabrina Johnston

A voice that moves between R&B, soul and pop without a seam — trained through summer music camps and voice classes, then a music major at Cheyney State. She came up in demand as a session singer, working with West Street Mob and Lauryn Hill, before writing, arranging and producing her own material and other people's. Peace, self-penned and gospel-tinged, caught the Rolling Stones' attention and they asked her to audition for the Steel Wheels Tour — but a JBR/EastWest deal and a self-titled album won out. Yum Yum followed some years later.
