Japanese-born, New York-based DJ and producer. Broke through in 1989 with 'Tears' alongside Frankie Knuckles, toured with Ryuichi Sakamoto in the early 90s, and remixed everyone from U2 and Mariah Carey to Photek and David Bowie through the decade. Launched his Abstract Architecture imprint in 2015; recent vinyl across A_A, Yoyaku, Phonogramme and 2020 Vision. In 2025, made his live debut at Dekmantel Festival with an all-hardware setup.
