Masked Detroit techno from an ever-evolving collective, founded in the late 1980s during the city's second wave and led by founding member Track Masta Lou. The sound echoes their hometown and then mutates at will — electro one moment, uplifting house the next. Closely tied to Underground Resistance, with records for Tresor, F-Comm and KMS among others, and hits in You Have The Right, Black Moon Rising and the seminal The Resistance. Their first live show, SCAN 7: LIVE, premiered at the inaugural Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 and established them as a top-level live act; The Hallowed Ground EP is the most recent, on their own Scan Records.
