Delano Smith is one of the original Detroit DJs, still dedicated to the craft. Schooled under the late Ken Collier and fusing soul, disco and early electronic sounds across the late 70s and 80s, he helped plant the seeds for the city's house and techno. A member of the BeatDownSounds collective with Norm Talley and Mike Clark, his deep, raw productions land on his own Mixmode and Berlin's Sushitech, including albums like "Odyssey" and "Twilight".
