Industrial techno with post-punk in its bones — gnarly basslines, sensual narratives and a layered wall of sound aimed squarely at the floor. Hayden Payne started the project in 2014, a New Yorker turned Berliner with long residencies at Berghain, Tbilisi's KHIDI and the queer New York collective Merge. Three albums in, including 2020's Scanning Backwards on Ostgut Ton, alongside records for Jealous God. He launched BITE in 2018 to platform cutting-edge production across an international roster, and pioneers Italo Body Music with Pablo Bozzi as Soft Crash.
