The first Soul Cut 12", Late Nite Tuff Guy's funk-and-soul offshoot of his Tuff Cut edits, carries four unlabelled reworks of soul standards: Marvin Gaye's 'Sexual Healing', the Jackson 5's 'Never Can Say Goodbye', Sly and the Family Stone's 'Family Affair' and the Commodores' 'Easy'. The South Australian re-editor Carmelo Bianchetti keeps the songs front and centre and the mood unhurried.
