Iranian-American producer Ali Shirazinia, one half of Grammy-winning progressive-house duo Deep Dish before going solo as Dubfire in 2006 with a darker, stripped-back minimal techno and house sound. In 2007 he founded the label SCI+TEC, drawing on roots spanning punk, new wave, industrial, dub and house.
