UK techno and ambient outfit formed in 1990 by Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy, both formerly of the pioneering psychedelic space-rock collective Gong. Built around a rotating cast of collaborators — Derrick May, Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier and The Orb's Alex Paterson among them — their music sits where techno, progressive and trance meet, with the rare added element of Hillage's techno guitar.
