Chicago acid house rebuilt with a Berlin accent — minimal, and given a new flair rather than reproduced. He came up on break beats, jungle and drum & bass from 1994, ran underground parties in condemned buildings with friends, then found old Chicago house records and never really left them. Adapter Records followed in 2004, opening with What Is Acid and selling out fast; he played as DELICUT around Globus/Tresor and hosted the Tech Noir series, with records since on Robsoul, Soul Deep Inc. and Shaker Plates. In his own words: not copying anything, not inventing anything new either — only trying to combine the past with the present.
